
HOLY WEEK/EASTER SERVICES AND EVENTS
Palm Sunday (13th April)
The Sunday before Easter, on which Christ's entry into Jerusalem is celebrated.

At 3pm, there will be a service of readings and traditional hymns, leading up to the horror of Good Friday and the glory of Easter Sunday. If you would like to read at this service, please speak to Pauline in the church office.​

Maundy Thursday - 17th April)
The day when we remember when Jesus shared the Last Supper with His disciples before going to the Garden Of Gethsemane where he prayed, was betrayed by Judas and was arrested.
At 7.30pm there will be a traditional service of Holy Communion reminding us of the Last Supper.

Good Friday (18th April)
The day when we commemorate the crucifixion of Jesus and His death at Calvary.

Walk of Witness:
​The route – this year we will be walking up Valance Avenue, starting at the junction of Becontree and Valance Avenue – Just outside the Family Café.
​
Start time of walk - meet at 12pm and start the walk at around 12.10pm.
Outdoor service start time – arrive at approx. 12.40pm outside CHBC for a 1pm start for an act of worship lasting about 30 minutes, with refreshments.
Banners are allowed on the walk but not church specific ones. This is a united church event. Crosses are also welcome.

‘An Hour at the Cross’ Service:
At 3pm - a reflective service of drama and reflective hymns.

​Easter Sunday (20th April)
The day we celebrate Jesus Christ's resurrection.
